Program Overview

The Phlebotomy Technician program trains students to draw blood so they may work in hospitals, clinics, emergency and extended care facilities, private medical offices or laboratories. Upon successful course completion, a 120 hour Externship will be provided.


Venipuncture Procedures, Specimen Collection, Blood Collection, Quality Assurance, Body Systems, Infection Control, and Skin Puncture Techniques.

Admission Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

National Certification

Upon successful course completion, students will be eligible to sit for the National Certification exam to become a Certified Phlebotomy Technician through the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians and/or the National Center for Competency Testing. We proctor both exams several times a year at our classroom locations.

Tuition Cost

The Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) for the Phlebotomy Technician Certificate program is 51.1009.
